Tips on CIS installation

Prefill the ink bottles matching the color code, leave the bottle
top open until the installation is completed and the nozzle
check is done.  When lifting the color coded bottle tops, place
your finger below the two tubes.  This will prevent damage to
the part.
                                                            

  • Prime the cartridge as shown in the video sequence to
    rid of air in the cartridge and the ink feed ribbon.

  • Mount the ink ribbon so it can move freely and install the
    cartridge to test free movement.

  • Run nozzle check no more than 2 time if possible.  
    Excessive cleaning will damage the printer.

Step 4: Filling the bottles with ink

The purpose of this video

  1. To show how to gently remove the bottle top by lifting both tube connector ( the bottle top ).
  2. It is important to lift both connector to spread the force to avoid damage to the delicate part.
  3. Keep the top open until the cartridges are primed.  Do not close the top until the cartridges are filled with ink.
  4. How to fill the ink bottles.
  5. And how to re-install and tightly seal the bottle tops to prevent air leaks.
